Amrinder Singh Gill (born May 11, 1976) is an Indian Punjabi actor, singer, songwriter, and film producer. He has been nominated for ten PTC Punjabi Film Awards, winning six including three for Best Actor, and two for Best Playback singer and has been nominated for three Filmfare Awards, winning two for Best Actor and Best Playback singer, among other accolades. Gill recorded his first song for Jalandhar Doordarshan program Kala Doria. He came into the limelight with his breakthrough track "Paigam," followed by such hits such like "Daru," "Madhaania," “Khedan De Din," with Sunidhi Chauhan, and many others like "Mel Kara De" and "Dildarian." His album Judaa was considered one of the most successful Punjabi albums of all time. In 2012, Judaa received a Brit Asia Music Awards for 'best album. After the success of Judaa, In mid 2014, Amrinder Gill came up with a sequel Judaa 2.As judaa helped him to earn more success Judaa 2 did the same, Judaa 2 became a super hit in Punjab. His last single "Supna" was released in 2015 since then he has released only film tracks. He started his acting career with a supporting role in the film Munde UK De in 2009. Then he acted as lead in films Ik Kudi Punjab Di, Taur Mittran Di, and many more. Finally he got success with films Daddy Cool Munde Fool and a super-hit Goreyan Nu Daffa Karo. In 2015, Angrej produced by his co-founded production house Rhythm Boyz Entertainment became all time blockbuster and he also won his first Best Actor award for the film. Later, continued his success with films like Love Punjab, Lahoriye, Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua, and Ashke for which he won various Awards at different ceremonies. He is considered as one of the best Punjabi actor critically and commercially both.
